When you talk to his peers, they will refer to him in a league of his own, within no one above or beneath. Johansson has swiftly risen through the ranks of the mountain biking world, captivating audiences with his remarkable skills, innovative style, and unwavering passion for the sport and up-and-coming young guns.

The Sweet Protection Collaboration
Working with Emil Johansson will be a collective partnership, where Johansson is deeply integrated into the design and development process of new MTB helmets. For us at Sweet Protection this means maximizing world-leading rider insights in the design and development processes, which aligns with our goal of relentlessly searching for perfection.
Of course, both having Scandinavian roots, this spirit will be reflected in the new helmets fitting both Sweet Protection’s and Emil’s style.
Emil is currently riding with our Bushwhacker 2Vi® Mips Helmet, while we are working together with him on our biggest MTB project yet, launching spring 2025.

Career Highlights
In 2016, Emil he entered his first international slopestyle contest, and from there appearances snowballed. The same year he got a wildcard to the biggest event of the year, Red Bull Joyride, where he impressed with a 4th place.
Youngest FMB World Champion: Johansson's appearance on the international stage was further emphasised when he claimed the overall title of both 2017 Crankworx and FMB World Champion, cementing his reputation as one of the most versatile and accomplished riders in the world. Red Bull Joyride: Renowned for his technical prowess and creativity, Johansson conquered the iconic Red Bull Joyride event in Whistler, Canada, in 2019.
His flawless performance showcased his ability to push the boundaries of what's possible in slopestyle mountain biking. Crankworx: In 2023, Emil made history by breaking the record for the most number of Crankworx World Tour Slopestyle gold-medals, while also claiming his third Triple Crown of Slopestyle Award, making him the most successful slopestyle athlete of all time.
