Skiing Disciplines: Freeride Skier
How did you first get into free ride skiing? I started skiing when I was 3 years old, but it wasn't until I entered my first freeride competition at age 12 that I truly fell in love with the sport. Seeing what was possible on skis inspired me to push my own limits, and freeride has been a huge part of my life ever since.
What does a typical training day look like for you in the NZ season? My mission is to make the most of every day I get on skis. Most days, I head straight into the off-piste terrain to work on technical skiing, explore different lines, and practice tricks on natural features. I also love spending time in the park learning new tricks and running hot laps with my mates. For me, every day on snow is a chance to have fun while continuing to push my skiing forward.
Where is your favourite place to ski - near or far! My favourite place to ski is Broken River. I grew up skiing there, so I know the terrain really well. It has a great mix of steep terrain up high and playful windlips lower down.

Any big goals or ambitions for the year? My main goal this year is to podium at the FWQ 4* event at The Remarkables, which would be a strong step forward heading into the European competition season.
Away from the skifields, what would we find you doing in your spare time? I enjoy Away from the ski fields, you’ll usually find me spending time outdoors tramping, mountain biking, and climbing. I also spend time in the gym focusing on strength and conditioning to prepare for the ski season.
What Sweet Protection kit is your go-to this season and why? I use the Sweet Protection Trooper helmet because it fits well and provides a high level of protection. I pair it with Durden goggles for clear visibility in all conditions, and I also wear the back protector vest. Having high-quality protective gear gives me peace of mind when I’m skiing.
