The Ascender Mips is a triple-certified, low-volume and highly ventilated ski touring/mountaineering helmet. Made to be used when going hard both up and downhill, this is the go-to helmet for professional mountain guides.
The Ascender Mips is a truly innovative and ground-breaking product, constructed using our unique hybrid variable elasticity shell and dual-density EPS liner. By combining a hard-shell exterior with in-mold construction, we're able to position over a hundred puncture-proof vents across the top of the helmet and create space to allow heat to dissipate through them. Combined with our STACC vents, which use frontal intake vents to channel cool air over the brow and exhaust it at the rear of the helmet, the Ascender Mips keeps you cool when you're working hard.
This doesn't come at the expense of strength or volume. The triple-certified Ascender Mips can withstand substantial impacts from above and offers exceptional protection from rockfall when alpine climbing, while maintaining superior protection performance when ski-touring. The helmet's low volume makes it compact and highly packable when it's time to stow it away on your pack. Safety is further enhanced with Mips technology, significantly reducing the concussion risks associated with rotational forces acting on the head and neck in the event of an accident.
Integrated clips for securing goggles and a headlamp, and our highly tunable Occigrip adjustable fit system, round out the list of features that make the Ascender Mips your first choice for flexibility, comfort, and protection performance in a true alpine helmet.
*No earpads are supplied with this helmet. We advise wearing a thin beanie/hat.
